Easy Floral Nails
Two nail art myths I'd like to bust:
1. It takes too long and
2. You have to be Van Gogh to pull it off
I get it—nail art can be daunting. And after taking a few stabs at seemingly harmless Pinterest designs (that aren't quite as effortless as they look) you might want to give up all together. But as a try-and-fail nail amateur myself, I can assure you it's worth it to try, try again!
This floral design is quick, easy and perfect for spring :-)
What You'll Need:
How To: step-by-step
Apply two coats of "Gargantuan Green Grape" to thumb, middle and ring fingers and "Feelin' Hot-hot-hot!" to pointer and pinky.
Create four messy 'flowers' on each green nail using "Koala Bear-y". Make sure your brush doesn't have too much polish on it or you'll end up with chunky blobs. It's always easier to add more paint than try and remove it!
Dab random swatches of "Feelin' Hot-hot-hot!" onto your flowers, but make sure the "Koala Bear-y" color still shows!
Finish by scattering a few strokes of "All Pink, All The Time!" onto the flowers, focusing on the edges. Voila! Now wasn't that easy?
It's okay if the nail polish bleeds out around the edges of your nails. Just clean it up with a Q-tip and nail polish remover when you're done!
Don't worry about being perfect. MESSY IS BETTER! Think of it like a snowflake: no two are exactly alike ;-)
